Biography

One of the most complete directors of his generation

Recognized as one of the most versatile and complete conductors of his generation in Argentina, with an extensive career as a pianist and choir director, winner of various international competitions, and a successful career as a guest conductor in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Brazil. , Colombia, Ecuador, USA and Europe. 

Graduated from the "Julián Aguirre" Conservatory of Rió Cuarto as a Senior Piano Professor, and from the Superior Institute of Art of the Teatro Colón as Musical Director of Opera.

He trained as a director with the  Mº Carlos Giraudo, and with him Mº Pedro Ignacio Calderón. Outside with  Mº Jeffrey Schindler y Harold Farberman en la Hartt School of Music, Hartford University, EEUU y con  Mº Eleazar de Carvalho en BRASIL.

Was Chief Conductor of the Orquesta Municipal de Cámara de Río IV, Symphony Orchestra of Corrientes, Camerata of the Fundación Pro Arte Córdoba, Stable Orchestra of the Province of Tucumán and Symphony Orchestra of Salta, with which he directed zarzuelas, ballets, operas, symphonic concerts, and symphonic-choral, didactic and popular music. During this period, in 2014, the OSS was selected for the second time in its short history as one of the best orchestras in the country by the Association of Music Critics, and participated twice in the Ushuaia International Festival.

During his tenure, works were commissioned from Argentine composers for Ballet Folklorico and orchestra, premiering Atahualpa and Juana Azurduy, as well as contests for composers and young soloists, music concerts for cinema and popular music from salsa to national and international rock. He recorded live with the OSS and Jorge Rojas, resulting in the CD: Symphonic.

He has an intense activity as Guest Conductor of the main orchestras of Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Italy and the USA. In Argentina he has conducted the main orchestras in the interior of the country, the National Symphony, the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, and the ISA Academic at the Teatro Colón, with soloists of international level. In 2017 he directed the Argentine premiere of the opera L´Arlesiana, by Francesco Cilea, being the outstanding event of the year by the Association of Music Critics of Argentina. As a continuity artist, he has collaborated with great artists such as Ashley Solomon and Dominique Vellard.

Together with the Municipality of Salta, he launches as Artistic Director in 2018 the Festival Music for the Path of Faith, which in its two editions 2018 and 2019 has already become a reference of excellence for the level  of its artists and its programming. Between 2019 and 2020 it was  Associate director of the Antofagasta Symphony Orchestra, Chile and is Artistic Director of the Antofagasta International Music Festival. 

At the Catholic University of Salta he created the University School of Music, and its casts, Camerata Ucasal, Coro de Cámara Ucasal and the Institute of Ancient Music. 

Next to the Camerata UCASAL has made the first recording of the Northern Suite, by Eduardo Falú, with Pablo González Jazey, as soloist and founder and member of the groupby Eduardo Falú, with Pablo González Jazey, as soloist and founder and member of the group Old Camera, also from UCASAL, specialized in ancient music, with which he has participated in important international festivals, such as the Esteban Salas in Cuba, the International Chiquitos Festival in Bolivia, and the Latin American Baroque Festival in Cuzco, Peru, in addition to organize and be the , Chile and is Artistic Director of the of the UCASAL International Baroque Festival

As a composer, he focuses on choral, chamber and film music. Recently his work Meditation for Harp and Bassoon was awarded a Special Mention in the prestigious competition Medici International Music Competition in London, and his choral work Da pacen Domine, won the 3rd Prize at the First Interreligious and Intercultural Choral Composition Contest of the Cultural Diversity Choir.

He successfully participated in several international competitions obtaining:
